The Benefits of Drinking Water Require These 3 Elements

by Cindy Soto

It is indicative of the times that the benefits of drinking water need to spelled out. On the one hand it seems obvious, but how often do we overlook the obvious?

You’ve heard that your body itself is 75% water, your brain 90%. That little tidbit should remind us that we need water: a glass of water is vital to have by your hand all day.

You will only enjoy the benefits if you drink water, not coke or milk or lemonade - water. When you feel thirsty, what do you reach for? Make it water and you’ll have a great and lasting positive impact on your health.

Don’t wait to feel thirsty. Have you heard it’s a bit late by then? The trillions of cells are already suffering dehydration by then. Think to drink.

In short; if this one vital element is not taken the right way, you will fall far short of your health objective. Water is essential to so many things: moving oxygen through the body, in helping the body recover from injuries, in detoxification and overall cleaning. It greatly enhances the bodily processes, including digestion and sexual performance.

Now for the 3 vital things you need to do to enjoy the benefits of drinking water.

1. — The amount is essential, 8 to 10 glasses a day is considered the minimum. A bit more accurate is to take half your weight and drink that many ounces. If you are active or live in hot climates, you need more.

2. — The second thing is the frequency. Ideally, you want to be adding water to match your body’s use throughout the day. Have a glass handy so you can pace yourself and drink before and during when you’re especially active.

3. — The quality is the third essential element. Tap water is not healthy. For years chlorine has been a major element in the water, and even the EPA acknowledges that chlorine in tap water will increase the likelihood of cancer by 93% in one’s lifetime.

Bottled water is not a great solution either. In the first place, nearly one-third of bottled water failed to meet even minimum tap water standards. But even more far-reaching is what happens as the plastic of the bottle leaches into the water in just a couple of weeks.

So much more to cover on this crucial subject. For now, the benefits of drinking water can be yours if you make sure you drink healthy water.
